- The Pakistan Army shot down an Indian quadcopter drone near the Line of Control (LoC) in Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) today on 29th April 2025, as tensions between the two countries linger on in the wake of the Pahalgam attack.
- “Pakistan has successfully shot down an Indian quadcopter along the Line of Control, thwarting a violation of its airspace,” state-run Radio Pakistan and PTV News reported, citing security sources.
- The meeting of the Council of Common Interests (CCI) is underway in Islamabad to today on 29th April 225 to discuss the matter of the much-contested six new canals on the Indus River. The meeting was originally scheduled for May 2, but Sindh Senior Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon said earlier today that the federal government convened the meeting for today.
